Beware of Fake Facebook Profiles

⚠️ Important Notice for Spectators, Dancers, Coaches and Supporters

We have been informed that fake Facebook profiles are circulating that pretend to be the Antwerp Diamond Dancesport Cup. These profiles are attempting to mislead people and request money, often by claiming to offer a paid livestream.

👉 This information page explains how to recognize fake profiles and what you can do to protect yourself and others.

❌ We Do NOT Offer a Livestream

Please be aware:

  • ❌ We do not offer any livestream of the Antwerp Diamond Dancesport Cup

  • ❌ We never ask for payments via Facebook, Messenger, or private messages

  • ❌ We do not sell tickets or access links through personal profiles

Any message or post claiming otherwise is fraudulent.

✅ Our Only Official Facebook Presence

The only official Facebook page of the event is: Antwerp Diamond Dancesport Cup

Any other Facebook profile or page using a similar name, logo, or images is not affiliated with us.

🔍 How to Recognize Fake Facebook Profiles

Fake or scam profiles often show one or more of the following signs:

  • Recently created Facebook profile

  • Very few posts, followers, or interactions, our official Facebook page has more than 1,6d followers!

  • Poor grammar or unusual wording

  • Pressure to pay quickly or “limited availability” messages

  • Requests for payment via private message

  • Links to external payment platforms or personal accounts

  • Slight variations in the event name (extra words, spelling changes, symbols)

  • Pictures that are not sharp

  • Click on this link to go to our official page Antwerp Diamond Dancesport Cup, all the others are fake!

If something feels suspicious, trust your instinct.

🛑 What To Do If You Encounter a Fake Profile

1️⃣ Do NOT Pay

  • 🛑Do not send money

  • Do not click payment links

  • Do not share personal or financial information

2️⃣ Do NOT Follow

  • 🛑Do not follow the page

  • If you are currently following a fake profile impersonating our event, please unfollow it immediately and report the account for impersonation and fraud

  • Do not interact on the page as this will make Facebook think the page is real

3️⃣ Report the Profile to Facebook

Help us fight the imposters!

On the fake profile:

  1. Click the three dots (⋯)

  2. Select Report

  3. Choose Pretending to be someone else

  4. Select A business or organization

  5. Choose Antwerp Diamond Dancesport Cup

Reports from multiple users help Facebook act faster.
